Sarah and Stephen's Wedding

We had a terrific time at Sarah and Stephen's wedding this weekend. They are a very handome couple and Sarah looked beautiful. The wedding and reception were a lot of fun!

Gunner got to meet a bunch of new family members (see pictures below). Gunner with his Aunt Sarah and Uncle Stephen.

This is where Gunner got to sleep--yes, it's a suitcase! Don't worry we didn't zip it up on him (well, only when he cried...JUST KIDDING!)

Gunner loves his Great Aunt Eve!! She sure has a sense of style and he can't wait to wear his new bomber jacket and other cute clothes from her.
Gunner got to meet his Great Grandma Wanda May. She did a great job of feeding him! YUM!

Gunner misses his Great Grandma Canella. She held him more than anyone else on the trip. She is definitely the resident expert when it comes to babies!

He looked great in his "big boy" button down shirt and new shoes from his Grandma and Grandpa. Too bad he spit up all over everything.

Here he is on his very first flight on 15 Feb 08. He did GREAT! What else would you expect from the son of two pilots? We both look a little tired in this picture---we had to get up at 3:30am to make it to the airport on time. It was painful.

HE SMILES!!

Lots of excitement this week! Gunner had his 8 week checkup and now weighs 9 lbs 14 oz! He's gained about 4lbs in 2 months. The poor kid is still vertically challenged though at only 20 3/4 inches. Oh well, blame his mom and dad for that one.
He started smiling this week. It's awesome to see that big gummy grin. The slideshow has a few good ones.
The picture below is of Gunner with his "big brother" Marshall. Marshall is Stacy's 6 yr old son and they've been taking excellent care of Gunner while we're at work. We're very fortunate and extremely grateful for them!

Most Popular Boy

Man, Gunner will probably never get this much attention from a group of college women again! Here he is with all the USAFA swim team chicks.

He SLEEPS!!

I don't know if it's pure luck or if the book, "On Becoming Baby Wise" really works, but Gunner sleeps at night! We've followed the book and this past week we let him sleep for 7-8 hrs between feedings. It's GREAT! In two weeks, we can try to let him go for 9-10 hours. We'll see if he makes it.

We both went back to work this past week. It was tough leaving the little guy, but our friend Stacy takes great care of him! Every night when we get home from work we comment, "He's gotten bigger!" His two month checkup is this Thursday. We're guessing he's about 8.5 lbs now...maybe 9 if we're lucky. All of Missy's homecooked meals have been making him grow big and strong! Ha ha.
