First Week with Gunner

We've had a fun and exciting week with Gunner. This kid can sleep!! Let's hope it stays that way. Gunner went to see Santa when he was just 6 days old. He slept...go figure! Grandma and Grandpa Hyland have been helping out a lot with their first grandchild. He's very happy they're here. He's anxious to meet Grandma and Grandpa May next week.

Welcome Gunner Mitchell May!

He's HERE!! BOTOT (Baby On Time On Target)! What else would you expect from the son of two fighter pilots? After a short 5 hour labor and delivery, Gunner Mitchell May entered the world at 0846 on Dec 13th, 2007. He's doing great!

Just hanging around waiting.....

So the midwife told me she thought I'd probably deliver this weekend. Well, it's sunday at 3:45 and NOTHING! This is so frustrating! Well, 4 days until the due date...guess I'll look forward to that.

The nursery is almost done--need to paint monkeys on one more wall.

39 Weeks

Ok, Mike made me take these pictures of my belly and I can't believe I'm about to post them, but what the heck. My weight has remained the same for the past couple weeks now which is normal so this is as big as I'm going to get. Thankfully, it's really not that big. We took a Prepared Childbirth class last week and I've never felt so "little" in my life!! I don't know how some of those other ladies were able to get out of bed in the morning!!

Still no sign of Baby May coming out. I'm soooo ready. Wish he was.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We just had a fabulous Thanksgiving meal with Jim and Stacey Chacon. Since we had the day off yesterday, we put up our Christmas decorations and decided to take pictures in front of the tree (before I get too enormous).

The 37 week appt was on Tuesday and this midwife guessed that Baby May was closer to 5 1/2 lbs and figured he'd be about 6 1/2 for birth at 40 weeks. I'm still hoping for earlier!!

36 Weeks and Counting.....

We had the 36 week appt today and the boy his head down and ready to go. The midwife guessed he's only 4 1/2 lbs though which is a little small for this stage. I, on the other hand, am not small! I've gained 25lbs! Any day now, kid.

By the way, we STILL don't have a name!!!

Last weekend my Aunt hosted a baby shower in Phoenix. It was a great time and I had fun seeing all my old pals. It was the only baby shower I've been to where they had a "roast" for the mom-to-be. Fighter pilots....
