Exciting times with Gunner

6 Weeks Old today

Well, I don't have much to add because we can't possibly snap pictures of Gunner sleeping, crying and pooping on a daily basis. Maybe one of these days he'll smile, or walk, or talk and then the webpage will be little more exciting. But, for the well-being of the grandparents (specially G-ma Hyland who can't get enough), here are some more pictures for the week. Mike went back to "work" this week and I'll go back next week. Luckily, we only have class a few days a week so we aren't leaving Gunner "cold turkey." And, one of our friends has volunteered to watch him so we know he'll be in good hands. He's probably sick of us anyway....he's tired of being the "broken puppet" with Mike. :-)

Gunner walking--sideways

Ok, so we're not very video-literate. Next time we'll film right side up instead of sideways. Just testing this out to see if it works.

ONE MONTH OLD!!

Wow, time sure flies! Gunner is over a month old and he's already taken his first vacation. We just got back from 4 days of snowboarding at Copper Mountain. Gunner was fantastic and he even hit the half pipe a couple of times. Just kidding, of course. The picture of him on the couch is how he spent the week--sleeping. We had a great time there.

He is finally out of preemie clothes so we had fun dressing him up in some other outfits. He really likes the green "joker" outfit. His hair is getting redder and redder and it really shows up against the green.

4 weeks old

Gunner is now 4 weeks old and is growing like a weed. I think his days are numbered in the preemie clothes. We finally finished up the preemie diapers too. How exciting! :-)

Still no smile from our little man. I thought I captured a smile one day, but looking back, I think it was just gas. Speaking of gas, Gunner definitely takes after his father in the "pipes" department. Man, that kid can shake a room! Sometimes I have to ask if it was Mike or Gunner who just caused the explosion! At least nobody blames our poor Maisy dog anymore.
